ARPES

ARPES

ARPES (Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy) is a powerful experimental technique in condensed matter physics that has numerous applications in the study of electronic properties of materials. In ARPES, high-energy photons, typically from a synchrotron light source, are directed onto a sample surface, causing the emission of photoelectrons. The emitted electrons' kinetic energy and emission angle are measured, providing valuable information about the electronic band structure and the momentum of electrons in the material.
